Clotrimazole is an antifungal medication commonly used to treat vaginal yeast infections. Naturally both fungus and bacteria live in the vagina; however, when the fungus Candida albicans increases, it can cause an infection. Having a vaginal yeast infection is normal with approximately 75% of women experiencing it at least once in their lives. Symptoms some women may experience when they have a vaginal yeast infection include an itchy intimate area, soreness around the vulva, minor swelling of the labia, and cottage cheese-like white discharge.
Clotrimazole may also be used to treat other fungal skin infections such as ringworm, diaper rash, athlete’s foot, and jock itch.
Undecylenic acid is an unsaturated fatty acid that is most commonly used to treat fungal infections. It can be used topically for fungal skin infections such as jock itch, athlete's foot, fungal nail infections, and tinea versicolor. It can also be taken internally to treat dysbiosis that includes overgrowth of Candida or other yeast/mold organisms.
Clindamycin is an antibiotic used in the treatment of serious infections caused by streptococci, pneumococci, and staphylococci. It is most commonly used in the treatment of serious respiratory tract infections such as empyema, anaerobic pneumonitis, and lung abscess; serious skin and soft tissue infections; septicemia; intra-abdominal infections such as peritonitis and intra-abdominal abscess (typically resulting from anaerobic organisms resident in the normal gastrointestinal tract); infections of the female pelvis and genital tract such as endometritis, nongonococcal tubo-ovarian abscess, pelvic cellulitis, and postsurgical vaginal cuff infection. Due to the risk of colitis when using oral medication, clindamycin is generally reserved for those individuals who are allergic to the less-toxic penicillins.
Fluconazole is used to treat fungal infections, primarily those caused by the fungus Candida which can affect the mouth, throat, esophagus, lungs, bladder, genital area, and blood. It can also be used to prevent candidiasis in people with weakened immune systems caused by, for example, bone marrow transplants.
Amphotericin B is a strong anti-fungal medication used to treat deep-rooted fungal infections and leishmaniasis. It can be appropriate in the treatment of aspergillosis associated with mold-related illness, as well as other infections that include blastomycosis, candidiasis, coccidioidomycosis, and cryptococcosis. It is recommended that this IC be used with balancing ICs such as the spore-based probiotic, butyrate, and/or other probiotic support formulas that are available as IC.
Echinacea Compositum is used for the stimulation of the defense mechanism in minor infections and for the relief of symptoms due to infection such as inflammation, fever, and swelling. It can also be used to treat flu-like infections, skin diseases, immune weakness, pharyngitis, boils, abscesses, phlegmons, toxicosis, gingivitis, stomatitis, sinusitis, gastroenteritis, enterocolitis, cystitis, pyelitis, vaginitis, adnexitis, glomerulonephritis, osteomyelitis, otitis media, meningitis, mononucleosis, and mastitis.
Grape seed extract (GSE) is an extreme powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. It has been shown to have anti-cancer activity. Studies have also shown it to be beneficial in the treatment of Type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, gastric ulcers, hypertension, and metabolic syndrome. GSE has also been shown to completely inhibit the growth of MRSA, and to work synergistically with conventional medications in treatment of Candida and other infections.
Candida Albicans is an opportunistic fungus that is a common member of the human gut flora. It is the cause of Candida Related Complex, and many undesirable symptoms, including yeast infection, fatigue, brain fog, mucosa, fungal overgrowth, genital itching, weak immune function, dizziness, hypoglycemia, allergies, digestive problems, chronic bladder inflammation, frequent cold sores, and low body temperature.
Ciprofloxacin is used to treat bacterial infections that cause bone and joint infections, gastroenteritis, lower respiratory tract infections, skin and skin structure infections (e.g. cellulitis, folliculitis), urinary tract infections, prostatitis, and anthrax. It can also be used to treat acute uncomplicated cystitis in women, uncomplicated cervical and urethral gonorrhea, acute sinusitis, infectious diarrhea, and typhoid fever.
